The Case:
The silver dial is housed inside a grey titanium case. The crown, of which can be seen at the 3 o’clock position is used to adjust the time and date window. All in all, the case measures at a diameter of 38mm which complements the sleek height of just 9mm. Sat inline with the case is plexiglass which allows for both a clear view and a resistance to any potential knocks and bumps.
The Strap:
The beautiful vegetable tanned calf leather strap with Alcantara lining leather complements the grey dial and case well, making for a stylish addition to your wrist. The strap can be easily fastened using a standard buckle according to your size and taste.
The Dial:
The dial has a simplistic yet classic look to it. Around the edge of the dial are black Arabic indexes displaying the seconds in five step increments. Adjacent to the Arabic markers are standard line markers that mark out the remaining seconds. Further inside are large hour indexes in the same font with a 12 hour display. Additionally, the ever present Junghans logo can be seen at the 12 o’clock position alongside a date window at the 3 o'clock position. Both the hands and indexes have a environmentally friendly luminous coating, allowing for easy visbility at night.
The Functions:
The silver steel hour and minute hands are powered by an connected radio-controlled solar movement, which is powered by energy of the sun and then connected to a local radio station. The module in particular used is J101.85 which is known for its long life and reliability. The watch has a water resistance of 30 metres, making it suitable for light splashes.
As an additional option the glass can be retrofitted with sapphire crystal which is known for its resilient and clear properties.
