The Case:
The Polar Grit x Pro Black DLC features a circular black DLC (diamond like coating) stainless steel case that measures 47mm in diameter. The case exhibits a fixed bezel with 360 degree compass markings and four push-buttons at 2, 4, 8 and 10 o’clock which allow the wearer to interact with the watch’s features that are displayed on the dial. The case also features short lugs and scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass that has an anti-fingerprint coating. The caseback is crafted from glass fibre reinforced polymer.
The Dial:
The digital display dial can be used to display the time analogically or digitally. The dial is a touch screen and it can also be used to display the watch’s numerous functions such as: activity monitor, barometer, alarm, weather display and music control. Surrounding the edge of the dial there is a black 60-minute track.
The Strap:
The watch comes featured on a black FKM Fluoroelastomer strap, which is essentially a synthetic rubber material which is an ideal material for a sports watch as it is easy to maintain. The strap fastens through the use of a standard buckle.
The Functions:
This timepiece is powered by battery powered quartz mechanisms and it boasts a plethora of impressive functions, such as: an ultra-long battery life that can be used for up to 40 hours in training time with full GPS or up to 100 hours with power saving options, a precision heart beat sensor, a GPS, a sleep quality tracker, a barometer and a smart fuel reminder, as well as many other smartwatch complications. It is water resistant up to 100 metres, which means it can be worn when snorkelling. The Watch has also been tested to perform to -20 and up to +50 degrees C.
The GPS comes with a Track Back, Find your way home technology which can guide you back via the route you came. The watch's phone connectivity allows push notifications to be displayed on the screen.
